How do I see the current bed occupancy for the health service?
To find the number of beds occupied as well as where beds may be available, open domains and follow the click path to Beds, then Inpatient Flow monitor, then click on Hospital Overview.
The Inpatient Flow Monitor provides a view of inpatient occupancy and bed availability. Beds are charactierised as either 'Standard' meaning they generally receive patients from the Emergency Department, or 'Special Purpose' meaning they are reserved for patients with specific care requirements (for example, paediatrics, birthsuite or the ICU). These components have been designed to be able to assist with bed management as well support divisional, hospital and health service capacity escalations.
