# How do I validate my phone number in SystemView?
## Validating your phone number in SystemView allows you to receive any notifications you have set up via SMS.
Follow these steps to add and validate your mobile number:
#### **1. Go to Account Settings**
Click your **initials** in the top right corner of SystemView, then select **Account Settings** from the dropdown menu.
#### **2. Add your mobile number**
In the **Phone Number** field, enter your work mobile number.
#### **3. Check your domain selections**
Make sure the **Domains you are likely to use** checklist is completed before continuing.
#### **4. Save your changes**
Click **Save Changes** in the bottom left corner of the account settings.
#### **5. Start the validation process**
Below the Phone Number field, click **Click here to validate**.
#### **6. Confirm validation**
A pop-up box will appear. Click **Validate** to continue.
#### **7. Enter the 6-digit code**
You will receive a text message with a **6-digit authorisation code**. Enter this code into the prompt and click **Verify**.
#### **8. Done!**
Once verified, your mobile number will be confirmed in SystemView.
You’ll now be able to receive SMS notifications when using features like **Monitor** and **Improve**.
These tools let you set alerts for metrics that matter to you and receive SMS updates when performance shifts, risks emerge, or thresholds are hit.
