How does SystemView calculate the number of sessions I require per week?

SystemView uses the average operating time multiplied by the number of operations on the waiting list to calculate demand.

SystemView stores historical operating time data and is therefore able to calculate the average operating time for a doctor by procedure code. SystemView then counts the number of patients waiting per doctor for each procedure code, and sums the total time required to complete all procedures. To calculate the number of sessions required, SystemView divides the total time by 240 minutes (equivalent to a four hour theatre session) to determine the number of sessions required.
