PET measures from the time of patient arrival at ED to their departure (admitted to a bed or discharged home). This data is captured in the ED source system.
PET KPI set by HSE in relation to PET/TEDT is:- 70% of patients within 6 hours
- 85% of patients within 9 hours
- 97% of patients within 24 hours.
PET KPI specific for patients over 75 years of age is:
- 95% within 6 hours
- 99% within 9 hours
- 99% within 24 hours.
