How is the Current Waiting List Over Target (Patients Over 2025/2026 Target) (Column 'B') data calculated in the HSEView Demand & Capacity component?

This is information is used to show the size of the backlog of patients who have waited too long and its distribution between the hospitals.

This provides the count of the patients (waiting list entries), both booked and unbooked, who have waited for treatment for a given specialty within the designated team. For HSE, the Target Treatment Timeframes by Category are:

Outpatients:
Urgent (Category 1) = 28 days
Semi-Urgent (Category 2) = 90 days
Routine (Category 3) = 547 days

IPDC and GI Scopes:
Urgent (Category 1) = 28 days
Semi-Urgent (Category 2) = 90 days
Routine (Category 3) = 365 days

The value in brackets provides a count of the patients who have waited longer than the 2025/2026 target timeframes as defined below - (only applicable in the Demand and Capacity component)
