What are the target treatment timelines for Waiting Lists in the HSEView Demand & Capacity component?
Outpatients: Urgent (Category 1) = 28 days Semi-Urgent (Category 2) = 90 days Routine (Category 3) = 547 days IPDC and GI Scopes: Urgent (Category 1) = 28 days Semi-Urgent (Category 2) = 90 days Routine (Category 3) = 365 days
Target treatment timeframes are assigned based on category and are as follows.
Outpatients
Urgent (Category 1) = 28 days
Semi-Urgent (Category 2) = 90 days
Routine (Category 3) = 547 days
IPDC and GI Scopes
Urgent (Category 1) = 28 days
Semi-Urgent (Category 2) = 90 days
Routine (Category 3) = 365 days
The calculation assumes the date on list is “zero days” and adds a day for every day the patient is not ready for care.
