What does Maximum Wait Time refer to?
Maximum wait time refers to Slaintecare targets which is currently 15 months for OPD.
Only charts that come from the Waiting list - Slaintecare Maximum Wait times refer to Slaintecare targets. All other components use the clinical priority time frames for Urgent, Semi- Urgent, and Routine.The longest waiting patient chart is only available in the Waiting list - trends, hence the series name says 'Over Target'. This is the longest waiting patient and for GI patients these may not be waiting for longer than 9 months. Currently for OPD and IPDC the longest waiting patient is always waiting longer than 15 months and 9 months respectively.
