      MTS is the Manchester Triage Score

      MTS is a clinical risk management tool, and includes categories of 1 - 5 for Emergency Department triaging of presenting patients. 
      • Category 1 is immediate priority and max wait time is 0 minutes
      • Category 2 is very urgent priority and has a max wait time of 10 minutes
      • Category 3 is urgent priority and has a max wait time of 60 minutes
      • Category 4 is a standard priority and has a max wait time of 120 minutes
      • Category 5 is a non-urgent/expectant priority and has a max wait time of 240 minutes.
