How to set an improvement target
Create clear performance benchmarks and track your progress in real time with the Improve feature.
The Improve feature helps you turn data into action. Instead of just viewing a chart, you can set a clear improvement target on a trendline - giving you something concrete to work toward. Whether you’re aiming to cut down long waits, boost throughput, or drive another performance change, your target becomes a live benchmark inside SystemView. From there, you can track progress and see in real time whether your service is moving closer to success. See What is MyView? for background.
💡When to use this feature: Use Improve when you want to set a measurable goal and keep everyone focused on achieving it.
Setting up an improvement target

In Explore, navigate to the component and chart you want to use.

Click the Activate button in the top-right corner of the chart.

Select the series or trendline you want to apply the target to.

Click Improve at the bottom of the chart.

Enter your Target Value and the Date (the goal you want to achieve) and click Next.

Set your Notification Preferences and turn the Notify Me toggle On, if you’d like to be alerted about progress

Click Save.
Your target will now be saved in Interact > MyView > Improve for ongoing reference.
How to delete an improvement target
To remove an improvement target, go to Interact > MyView, hover over the chart on the Improve shelf, and click the red X in the top-right corner. This will delete the target and any associated notifications.
